If you take a look at what the wizards of trad climbing bring with them, you will almost certainly notice a good assortment of Tricams. These extraordinary guards can be used as both active cams and passive interlocking blocks and often work where no other type of tool can be placed. They are ideal in horizontal crevices, pockets, shallow vertical crevices and, unlike multiple cam devices, even icy crevices. Moreover, due to their high resistance and lightness, they can be used as parking anchors. The larger sizes allow you to increase your supply of cams with a limited expense. Our designers, after careful evaluations and numerous tests, have found the system to naturally stiffen the Tricam webbing, thus facilitating the positioning of the tools (especially with one hand) without compromising their functioning as active protections. How? Simply by extending the triple layer of tape by bringing it closer to the head of the tricam, through a particular stitching design. Thus, near the head, the webbing is not only stiffer but also more resistant against sharp edges.
