The Ortovox PEAK 42S backpack is ideal for high mountain excursions. The backpack is very robust thanks to the processing of the extremely tear- and friction-resistant material Nylon 420D Manstar. The 42S version is equipped with a short backrest that is best suited to people under 165 cm in height.

The padded shoulder straps and hip belts guarantee great comfort because they distribute the load equally between the shoulders and the hips. A front zip allows direct access to the main compartment. A further highlight of the PEAK 42S is its separate safety compartment, with attachment options for rope, ice ax and ice screws as well as a separate map compartment and hip pocket. The preparation for a hydration system and the graphic representation of the Alpine emergency signals are also part of the equipment of the backpack.

BACK STRUCTURE: SWISSWOOL FULL CONTACT

The particularity of this backpack is represented by the back system made of pressed Swiss wool. Just like for clothing, mountain lovers benefit from the humidity and temperature regulation guaranteed by the wool, which creates a feeling of comfort and keeps the back dry. Thanks to the wool, the back of the backpack can absorb almost 30 times more moisture than a comparable foam back system and ensures almost 7% more perspiration. Wool also has the advantage of allowing the surface to dry quickly. The full contact back part hugs the body and ensures optimal weight distribution. The structure has two aluminum rods that ensure high stability and extreme comfort even with heavy weights.
