Black Diamond - Vision Mips - ultralight helmet
The Vision MIPS helmet is equipped with EPP foam, EPS foam disc and ABS shell, as well as MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection).
The MIPS system is designed to protect against rotational (or kinematic) motion transmitted to the brain by angled impacts to the head. This additional protection system has been shown to reduce rotational violence to the brain by absorbing and redirecting oblique impacts to the helmet. Improved side and rear coverage increases the level of protection and meets proposed UIAA requirements, while strategically placed louvers maintain airflow when temperatures are high.
