CAMP - Corsa Nanotech, ski mountaineering ice ax
The Corsa Nanotech by CAMP is the most advanced ice ax for hiking on snow and glaciers and ski mountaineering on the market. Built in 7075-T6 aluminum alloy like the lightweight Corsa, it differs from the latter for the Sandvik Nanoflex® steel alloy inserts on the head and toe: critical points that are thus much more resistant and long lasting without sacrificing lightness.
The curvature of the handle optimizes the beat without reducing the functionality in support and the penetration into the snow. A special Nylon insert prevents snow from penetrating and accumulating in the ice ax. The grip obtained in the lower part of the handle ensures a good grip. The slot in the back of the head allows the fixing of the Dragonne Corsa (available separately).
Not suitable for vertical ice climbing and challenging mixed terrain.
Sandvik Nanoflex® an innovative steel alloy with a mechanical resistance and a toughness 60% higher than normal alloy steels; it allows to reduce the quantity of metal to be used, significantly reducing the weight while keeping its resistance intact.
