Belay Station inox

Art. 179 - Belay station composed by 2 SUPERSTAR (Ø10x80mm) resin bolts, chain and 2 round 10mm-thick rings

Stainless steel AISI 316L (2013) Fixed Belay Station, composed of 2 SUPERSTAR (Ø10x80mm) resin bolts (art.160) + 1 chain (art.175) + 2 round 10mm-thick rings (art.177).

Internal ring diameter = 32 mm

Description

The abseil ring is created in 10 mm thick stainless steel and is welded inside another ring, causing it to hang perpendicular to the rock; this makes it an extremely versatile and multidirectional belay station.

This is particularly useful for rope retrieval as it can be weight-loaded on either side without catching on the rock.

The wear on the ring is practically non-existent as the rope comes in contact with a different section on each use.

This belay station is particularly popular as it can be used for stances in all disciplines (climbing, mountaineering and canyoning).

The live rope must be “threaded” through the abseil ring, however this inconvenience is compensated by the assurity that it cannot slip free of the anchor.

This stainless steel belay station is very similar to art.180 in terms of use and placement. It differs in that it is placed using two SUPERSTAR Ø10x80 resin bolts (art.160).

For placement instructions using epoxy resin see instructions for art. 160 – Stainless Steel Superstar (Ø10x80) (Method A).

Like all of the stances created by RAUMER, the surface is a pale matt grey so as to lessen the visual and environmental impact. In practice, the anchor becomes less visible.

ATTENTION! The classic “SUPERSTAR Ø10x80” anchors can be substituted with larger and longer anchors such as the “MASTERFIX” (art.151 - 125 - 525) or equivalent, on request.

This can be very useful when the rock is very soft or loose. However this naturally incurs an additional cost.

Technical Specifications

From 2013 the material used in the majority of our anchors is now stainless steel AISI 316L, which offers a higher resistance to marine corrosion than the former AISI 304.

To highlight this change each article is stamped with the relevant symbols.

Attention: There is also a “Marina” version of this anchor which is highly resistant to saline corrosion.

To mark the difference between stainless steel AISI 316L and the marina version of the same material, all marine-suitable anchors have been marked with a fish symbol and the initials “INOX".
